FIFA’s quadrennial flagship tournament, World Cup 2018 kicks off in Moscow from June 14. Russia plays host to the tournament with 32 teams vying for the title.

The defending champions Germany will seek to defend their title having won the previous edition in 2014. This is the first World Cup to be held in Eastern Europe and the eleventh time that it has been held in Europe.

Other key sporting events this month sees the Golf calendar move to the US with the 2018 US Open teeing off on 14 June. Motorsports will feature exciting races this calendar month – the Formula 1 calendar racing at the Canadian Grand Prix. Formula E will host the Zurich ePrix in Switzerland on June 10.
